Victor Rodriguez to Graduate from the University of Texas at San Antonio
Commencement ceremony marks the end
of a successful college career
San Antonio—
December 19, 2012 — Today at
The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), Victor Rodriguez received his
undergraduate degree in Communications Public Relations with a Minor in
Business.
“His understanding of others and desire to go above and beyond always
impressed me. Knowing his skill set and ability to think quickly while juggling
multiple tasks at once has me assured that he will be a great asset to the
company he ends up with,” said Hayley Diamond, classmate at UTSA.
Enriching College Experience
During his studies at UTSA,
Rodriguez excelled in many of his classes especially within his field of study.
He understood the importance of
finishing strong and made the difficult decision of leaving his full-time job
for his last two semesters. His decision allowed him to become more active in
public relations. He was elected Director of Events for the UTSA chapter of Public
Relations Student Society of America. Rodriguez interned with Rackspace’s corporate
communications team in the summer and followed by a fall internship with Sammis
& Ochoa Public Relations.
“Victor became a well-oiled pitching machine in pitching the press”, said Andre
Lenartowicz, Public Relations Specialist at Rackspace, “It was a great pleasure working with Victor”.
Future Endeavors
Rodriguez intends to move back to
the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to be closer to his family. He has not yet determined an exact career path
as his opportunities are bountiful in both public relations and his previous
field of hospitality marketing. Though he will miss his friends and life he had
in San Antonio, he looks forward to a bright future ahead.
